1 Corinthians 12:1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
-
-
- Remember that the angels are called spirits, sent to minister to the heirs of salvation: Hebrew 1:7, 14.
-
1 Corinthians 12:2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
1 Corinthians 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
-
-
- If you speak otherwise, you have the other spirit (only two available—more later).
- Example: if one would say the true teachings of Jesus Christ, His nature, abilities, etc., is accursed/heresy, it’s by a spirit other than from God.
-
1 Corinthians 12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

- Psalms 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth [camp, abide, dwell—Strong’s Greek #2583] round about them that fear him, and delivereth [equip, arm, strengthen—Strong’s Greek #2502] them.
- Luke 2:9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
- “All the blessings from God to man are through the ministration of holy angels.” 2SP 67.2

1 Corinthians 12:5 And there are differences of administrations [minister, office, service—Strong’s Greek #1248], but the same Lord.
-
-
- The KJ Bible uses the term “Lord of hosts” 245 times. “God of hosts” 40 times. Lots of administrations.
-
1 Corinthians 12:6 And there are diversities of operations [effects, working—Strong’s Greek #1755], but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
-
-
- Galatians 3:5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
-
1 Corinthians 12:7 But the manifestation [expression, bestowment—Strong’s Greek #5321] of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

-
- Hebrews 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
-
1 Corinthians 12:8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

- Isaiah 30:21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
- “Ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands of thousands of angels are ministering to the needs of the children of men. Voices inspired by God are crying, “This is the way, walk ye in it.” If men will hear the voice of warning, if they will trust to God’s guidance and not to finite judgment, they will be safe.” BEcho December 10, 1900, par. 1

- Acts 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
- Luke 7:8-9 For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. 9 When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
- “As I represent the power of Rome, and my soldiers recognize my authority as supreme, so dost Thou represent the power of the Infinite God, and all created things obey Thy word. Thou canst command the disease to depart, and it shall obey Thee. Thou canst summon Thy heavenly messengers, and they shall impart healing virtue. Speak but the word, and my servant shall be healed.” DA 316.2

- Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
- Revelation 22:8-9 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. 9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

- c – discerning spirits
-
- 1 John 4:2-6 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

- Genesis 11:4-5 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. 5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
- Genesis 11:7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.
- “They had built their tower to a lofty height when the Lord sent two angels to confound them in their work… As the word was passing from one to another in its descent, the angels confounded their language…” SR 73.1
