“Let God Be True, But Every Man a Liar.”

Romans 3:4

  • Romans 3:1-7 – our unrighteousness is always unrighteous
    • 1Kings 8:6 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims.

Let’s realize that God’s truth has been attacked in this world. Untruth and unrighteousness does not commend the righteousness of God, so therefore, God is calling us to know and practice the Biblical truth. The LGBT community has a lot of focus at this point in history, but this is only one small part of a very large problem.

Creation

  • Genesis 1:1 – God created the heaven and the earth in six literal days
    • Evolution – came up during the same time God was raising His remnant movement (mid 1800s)
    • “CrEvolution” (creation that evolved over time) But God said, “the evening and the morning were the first day.” (See Hebrews 11:3)
      • It would be worse than me saying to my children, “Days were longer when I was your age,” then having them tell their friends that days were not 24 hours, they were thousands of years back in the 70s.
      • Worse that this, people say—against the plain testimony of Scripture—that God’s creation week was thousands of years (not considering the basic information that the plants were created on the third day and then the sun—something necessary for plant growth—was created on the fourth day, Genesis 1:16). Would God be able to create plants on the third day that are super-powerful, able to grow without sun for a thousand years, without being able to create the plants in one day?
    • In eternity future we will be witness to God’s creative power—each will have a newly created body and also will inherit the earth made new! (Revelation 20:7-21:1)

Lunar Sabbaths

  • Genesis 1:14-16 – Lights made for “signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years.” Where’s the moon? Where’s the month? (The first time the word month appears in the KJV is in Genesis 7:11, and it refers to the second month of the year when the flood came. As it was in the days of Noah? A time when the moon came into focus?)
    • I got an email this week from LLT with Pat Arrabito where Jim Wood made comments:
      • “According to Genesis, God instituted the Sabbath to mark an invariable rhythm for human life. Six days for work, then one day for rest. This was a natural cycle, established as part of Creation itself.
        The will of God regarding this seven-day cycle is reiterated in the story of the Israelites’ exodus from Egypt. Their daily sustenance was manna (“food from heaven”         Ps. 78:24), which they gathered each morning, six days a week. On the seventh day there was no manna. They ate leftovers – miraculously preserved – from the previous day.
        Later, at Mt. Sinai, the weekly cycle, with its Sabbath, was embedded at the heart of the Ten Commandments: “Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work, but the seventh day is the sabbath…”         Ex. 20:9, 10.
        This seventh-day Sabbath was unique. It recurred with regularity without reference to the motion of sun, moon, or stars.
        Not so with other important cycles in Hebrew life. The calendar itself, based on the phases of the moon, required the periodic insertion of extra months to keep it more or less synchronized with the seasons and the solar year. Passover and other holidays were tied to the cycle of the seasons.
        Take a closer look at Passover and you’ll see the contrast between the annual feast days and the weekly Sabbath. Passover occurred during the first month of the religious year – Nisan. It triggered the schedule of holidays for that year. The Passover meal was followed by the week-long Feast of Unleavened Bread. During that week, on the “morrow after the sabbath,” the priest was supposed to ceremoniously wave a sheaf of newly cut barley before the Lord. (See         Lev. 23:10, 11.)
        This means that the Passover celebration could not begin before the barley harvest. If the barley was not mature by the beginning of Nisan an extra month would be inserted. This would push back Passover and the other holidays by a full month. Thus the feast days could wander back and forth within the seasons, depending on the agricultural cycle.
        But the Sabbath, marking the perpetual rhythm of the seven-day week, was immune to the quirks of calendars, agricultural cycles, and feast days.” – Jim Wood
    • In eternity future we will still be reminded of God’s creation week by keeping the Sabbath through the ages to come (Isaiah 66:22-23) Why months? Revelation 22:2.

Health

  • Genesis 1:29 – God gave a vegan, whole foods diet
    • The eating of what’s called “dead flesh” causes disease and wasn’t included until more than 1500 years after creation. As written in Counsels to the Church page 229.6, “From the light God has given me, the prevalence of cancer and tumors is largely due to gross living on dead flesh. In many places fish become so contaminated by the filth on which they feed as to be a cause of disease. This is especially the case where the fish come in contact with the sewage of large cities. The fish that are fed on the contents of the drains may pass into distant waters and may be caught where the water is pure and fresh. Thus when used as food they bring disease and death on those who do not suspect the danger.”
    • It’s what Adam and Eve ate (Genesis 1:29)
    • It’s what God fed the Israelites in the wilderness for more than 90% of the 40 years of wandering in the wilderness (Numbers 11:4-9)
    • The animals will be vegetarian throughout eternity (Isaiah 65:25)
    • It’s what Daniel and the three faithful Hebrews ate, in the first chapter or keynote of the end time book, during their years of education (Daniel 1:8-16)
    • Health was the first victory Christ gained during His ministry on earth (Matthew 4:1-4)
    • Health/diet was one of the longest visions given to Ellen G. White
      • In eternity future we will again be eating vegan whole foods (Revelation 22:2)

Sabbath

  • Genesis 2:1-3 – God rested on the Sabbath as an example for all mankind
    • Adam and Eve (Genesis 2)
    • Israelites (Exodus 16, 20)
    • All the prophets
    • Jesus (Luke 4:16)
    • Apostles (Acts 13:14, 27, 42, 44, 15:21, 16:13, 17:2, 18:4 in Corinth, Thessalonica, Galatia, and Philippi)
    • The faithful in the wilderness during the dark and middle ages and beyond (Revelation 12:17)
    • The end time church is noted for keeping God’s commandments (Revelation 14:12, 22:14)
      • As we’ve seen, in eternity future we will be keeping the Sabbath!

Marriage

  • Genesis 2:20-24 – One man, one woman (as in Genesis 1:26-27)
    • Why has marriage declined?
      • “The answer depends on whom you ask, but almost every expert points in part to the women’s liberation movement of the late 1960s and ’70s. As more women earned college degrees, entered the workforce and delayed motherhood, marriage became less necessary for their economic survival.” http://uvamagazine.org/articles/the_marriage_crisis
        • 1994 – 40 of the 50 states amend their marriage statutes to outlaw same-sex marriage.
        • 1996 – President Bill Clinton signs the Defense of Marriage Act into law, which outlaws federal recognition of both same-sex marriage and polygamy
        • 2004 – Massachusetts grants and recognizes same-sex marriages, while 14 states rush to outlaw same-sex marriage and polygamy through their state constitutions in response.
        • 2008 – New York starts recognizing same-sex marriages performed in other jurisdictions, but does not grant such marriages. Connecticut begins granting and recognizing same-sex marriages. California briefly granting and recognizing same-sex marriage until the passage of Proposition 8 later in the year
        • 2013 – The Supreme Court of the United States finds that there is no standing for the appeal of the decision overturning Proposition 8 in California, leading to re-introduction of legal same-sex marriages in that state.
        • June, 2015 – On June 26, the Supreme Court ruled in Obergfell v Hodges that the Fourteenth Amendment to the constitution requires a State to license a marriage between two people of the same sex and to recognize a marriage between two people of the same sex when their marriage was lawfully licensed and performed out-of-State, legalizing same-sex marriage in the United States.
        • An now our president has given a directive that boys or men who claim to be girls or women can go into public school restrooms and locker rooms.
        • Luke 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
          Luke 17:29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
          Luke 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
        • Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
        • Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination.
        • Romans 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
          Romans 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
          Romans 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
          Romans 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
        • 1Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
          1Corinthians 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
          1Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

          • In eternity future we will be able to see a witness to God’s original plan, as Jesus Christ will be wed to His bride throughout the ages. (Revelation 19:7-9)

Spiritualism

  • Genesis 3:1-5 – the devil’s first sermon which still leads to delusion and sin
    • If man had eaten from the tree after he had sinned, THEN he would have been a sinner with an immortal soul, BUT, he hasn’t, and therefore is not immortal. (Genesis 3:22-24)
    • Psalm 6:5 For in Death there is no remembrance of Thee: in the grave who shall give Thee thanks?
    • Psalm 115:17 The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence.
    • Job 7:9-10 As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away; so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more. He shall return no more to his house, neither shall his place know him any more.
    • Ecclesiastes 9:5-6,10 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.
      • In eternity future we will know that God’s word was true when Ezekiel 18:4 said, “The soul that sinneth, it shall die,” for the enemy and his followers will be dead and gone forever!
